Privacy and support

The short version

BuckAround has no accounts, no ads and no tracking. You can use every feature without telling us anything about yourself. The only things that ever leave your phone are answers you choose to send us with the Feedback button or the review form.

What stays on your device

Your saved comparisons, saved trip plans, recent searches and settings are kept in your browser's or the app's local storage. Unless you sign in to sync them (see below), we can't see them. Deleting the app, or clearing site data in your browser, removes them.

If you make an account (optional)

You can use BuckAround fully without an account. If you choose to sign in, we keep:

• Your email address, used only to send you sign-in codes. We don't send marketing email.
• Your synced data: saved comparisons, saved trip plans, recently viewed comparisons and your settings, so they appear on every device where you sign in. It is stored encrypted.

Sign-in is handled by Supabase, and sign-in emails are sent through our email provider. Feedback and reviews are not linked to your account.

Deleting your account: in the app, open the menu, go to Settings, and tap Delete my account. Your account and everything synced to it are deleted right away. What's saved on your device stays until you clear it in Settings or remove the app.

What you can choose to send us

• Feedback: your answer, any comment you type, an optional city, the screen you were on, the comparison you were looking at, and a random id that groups answers from the same device (it is not linked to you).
• Review form: the answers you give, including your name and age only if you type them in, which screens you visited, your device type and screen width, and how long the review took.

Reviews are stored encrypted. Only the BuckAround team can read feedback and reviews, and we use them only to improve the app. We never sell or share them. To have your answers deleted, contact us (see below) and tell us roughly when you sent them and what they said.

Who runs the servers

The website, the feedback and account storage and the app's connection to it run on Vercel. Like any web host, Vercel briefly logs technical details such as IP addresses to keep the service working and protect it from abuse. We use those logs only for that.

Where prices come from

Prices are estimates built from public data, including exchange rates from the European Central Bank (via Frankfurter), World Bank price levels, and other public statistics. They are not quotes and can be different from what you pay. BuckAround is not financial advice.

Children

BuckAround is a general audience app and does not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date at the top.
